Talent Acquisition Partner- Blu Dot

Position Profile: kp prime search, the retained search division of kpCompanies, is leading the search for a Talent  Acquisition Partner for Blu Dot. 


This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing company and build the recruiting strategy from the ground up. Our client, Blu Dot, is looking for self starters with a skill for connecting people to their passions and representing Blu Dot’s purpose and values in the job market. This is a newly created role.  We are looking for the right person to strategize, develop and implement a comprehensive, national recruiting program that would serve all channels of the business (HQ, Warehouse, Retail Locations). Blu Dot is growing quickly so this is a hit-the-ground-running opportunity. Success in this role is measured through the overall support of Blu Dot’s recruiting strategy (both short- and long-term) and meeting established hiring goals and objectives.

Hypothetically, you could start your day meeting with a hiring manager to understand a new position, finish your day giving a candidate a tour of HQ, and fill the middle with process development - creating new systems and best practices to enhance Blu Dot’s talent strategy
Lead and maintain the quality and integrity of staffing, hiring and onboarding company-wide, with partnership from the HR Manager. 
Inventively source candidates using a variety of search methods to build a robust and diverse candidate pipeline. 
Elevate the employee experience, from hire to retire, by providing excellent internal support and guidance. 
Incorporate a focus on diversity, equity and inclusion in all aspects of talent acquisition. Champion goals set out by executive leadership for diversifying our candidate pools and employee demographics. 
Design and manage job descriptions, job postings and the applicant tracking system. 
Oversee the compliance aspects of hiring, including pre-hire background checks, drug testing and reference checks as needed
Create a consistent and sustainable interview, selection and job closing process that will be implemented company-wide. 
Facilitate the offer process by generating offer letters and negotiating employment terms. 
Manage and continually improve the new hire onboarding process. 
Ensure all screening, hiring and selection is done in accordance with employment laws and regulations. 
Constantly be learning; stay ahead of the curve with creative hiring trends and best practices. 
Be a talent acquisition partner to Blu Dot leadership, both at the departmental and senior leadership level. 
You will be a champion of Blu Dot company culture, both internally and externally. 
Assist in other areas of HR management, as needed.

Minimum of 3+ years of recruiting experience 
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) 
Excellent presentation and written communication skills 
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field (Business  Administration, Psychology/Sociology, Industrial Organization, etc.) or commensurate experience.  
Position is based out of Minneapolis, MN headquarters with a flexible working environment/schedule.
