Senior Diversity Equity & Inclusion Consultant - Temporary Position

LOCATION: St. Paul, MN (Edina, MN when necessary)

JOB PURPOSE
kpCompanies, is leading the search for a temporary Senior Equity & Inclusion Consultant for our client. The position is responsible for planning and implementation of workforce inclusion programs and processes for the purpose of attracting, developing, promoting, and retaining a diverse and inclusive workforce. This work will include assisting in the development and communication of equity and inclusion strategies and plans, identifying and addressing workforce inclusion issues, growing and managing Employee Resource Groups, hosting organization sponsored events, developing and delivering training to organizational leaders and employees across the organization, designing and evaluating diversity sourcing strategies, working closely with HR Business Partners and Consultants and other departments and measuring results. In addition, you will deliver resources and services as required supporting department specific initiatives that align with the organization's equity and inclusion efforts. The Senior Equity & Inclusion Consultant will cultivate internal and external relationships, and function as an inclusion ambassador to represent and deliver the work of Workforce Equity & Inclusion across the organization. This role is pivotal in defining, creating, and sustaining lasting cultural change that will lead to a more inclusive work and care environment. This role reports to the Vice President, Chief Equity, and Inclusion Officer.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead workforce E&I programs (65%)
  • Co-Lead the following: development and communication of equity and inclusion strategies and plans, identifying and addressing inclusion strategies, growing, and managing Employee Resource Groups, hosting organization sponsored events, developing, and delivering training to organizational leaders and employees across the organization, designing and evaluating diversity sourcing strategies, working closely with HR Business Partners and Consultants and other departments, and measuring results. Responsible for leading the creation of cultural and system changes that will increase employee engagement eliminate systemic racism.
Build individual and organizational capacity (20%)
  • Collaboratively develop and deliver equity and inclusion training and provide equity coaching across the organization.
Provide information to inform & strengthen E&I (15%)
  • Provide workforce and supply chain analytics to organization and departments to drive systemic change around equity and inclusion.
Knowledge Driven Care Delivery
  • Provides services within the mission and vision.
  • Implements the integration of knowledge into unit/department operation.
  • Continues personal and professional development to enhance job related competency.
Compliance
  • Service Standards and Organizational Policies and Procedures.
  • Principles of Integrity and Compliance and Corporate Compliance Guidelines.
  • Regulatory, accreditation standards, and job/department specific competencies
Optimal Use of Resources
  • Manages time effectively by completing work within scheduled time, adhering to break times, arriving for work on time, and assisting others as available.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent knowledge and/or experience.
  • 7-9 years advancing equity, diversity & inclusion programs, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in applying data analytics to provide equity and inclusion services.
  • Experience in business and community partnership development and management.
  • Experience in development and management of employee engagement groups (ERGs and Networks).
  • Health care experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Experience managing people preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Advanced project management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to model equitable and inclusive behaviors
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills in analyzing complex data and trends with delivery of related business recommendations
  • Excellent ability to influence without authority and develop mutually effective relationships with senior leaders, business partners, peers, and external stakeholders to achieve results
  • Experience managing multiple projects concurrently and meeting all deliverables
  • Strong technical skills and proficiency using Microsoft Office based software
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to manage strategic relationships
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitive documents and information
  • Ability to work remotely and willingness to travel between St. Paul and Edina locations
