kp prime search, the retained search division of kpCompanies, is leading the search for a Senior Strategic Sourcing Analyst at our Bayport, MN location to support New Product Development Sourcing activities. This role will focus on communication of NPD project requirements, Requests for Quote, and contract negotiations with suppliers; as well as being the central sourcing project lead. This position will lead sourcing gate deliverables in the product development process in collaboration with other functional areas including the project team, RD&I, operations, supply chain, strategic sourcing/suppliers, and finance.

Your priorities in this position will be:
Manage NPD goals and metrics to meet objectives.
Partner with the Design Engineering team to aid with upfront design simplification and lead design reviews with suppliers.
Work closely with the strategic sourcing team on bid list creation, supplier selection, and ramp up for production; as well as be the main interface between the sourcing and project teams.
Negotiate price and execute contracts, or other legal agreements, as necessary.
Develop and maintain a Source Plan for all NPD programs.
Manage the purchase of components for all commodities to support gate builds.
Ensure that all problems which impact cost, delivery and quality are escalated and quickly resolved.
Work with finance to ensure project cost targets are established and invoices are paid and resolved.
Become the subject matter expert of the Product Development Process, related to Sourcing.
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering or related degree is required.
Three to five years relevant work experience in sourcing, supply chain, or operations.
Project management experience with the ability to create project plans, manage schedules, adapt resources, and achieve project deliverables on schedule and on budget.
Very organized and able to independently pursue concurrent resolution of multiple issues.
Demonstrated success collaboratively leading and motivating others.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with employees at all levels of the organization.
Strong knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies.
Strong technical knowledge and/or previous fenestration product experience.
Supplier contract creation and management knowledge and experience, as well as negotiation skills.
