This direct hire position focuses on supporting the main competencies of recruiting, HR compliance, benefits program, and employee relations as well as supporting the employee orientation program. Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Human Resources Generalist-related duties at a professional level working directly for and with HR director and interacting with staff.
  • Performs benefit administration, positive employee relations, employment verifications, and employee onboarding tasks.
  • Administers, coordinates and maintains health and dental insurance, 401K enrollments/changes/cancellations and program reviews.
  • Respond to employee requests and completes employment verifications.
  • Process employment status changes and enter all miscellaneous payroll data, income and deductions.
  • Assist in creation and maintenance of job descriptions and organizational charts.
  • Create and maintain employee personnel files.
  • Assists in development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Reviews unemployment claims and appeals in a thorough and timely manner.
  • Prepares, processes, and administers FMLA, ADA and/or Personal leave notices and requests.
  • Performs end of month HR reports.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred) in Human Resources preferred and/or 3+ years relevant HR work experience.
  • Broad HR expertise with excellent organizational, planning, prioritizing and organizing work.
  • Strong employment law, benefits and payroll compliance knowledge in order to provide guidance on FMLA, ACA, 401(k), tax, EEO and other compliance reporting.
  • Experience with an HRIS system such as ADP/Workday or UltiPro.
  • Highest level of ethical judgment and strong relationship management.
  • Strong oral, written, facilitation, presentation and overall communication skills.
  • Microsoft Suite proficiency (Excel, Work, Outlook).
  • Maintain professionalism.
  • Ability to work independently and interact and communicate well with all organizational levels.
  • Must meet requirements of company background check policy requirements.
