We are actively seeking a Regulatory Affairs Specialist for a hospital in St. Paul. This specialist is responsible for the coordination and accountability of clinical regulatory and accreditation compliance across the organization.

Duties include:
  • Identifying and integrating new and ever-changing clinical regulatory requirements from The Joint Commission, DHS, MDH, etc into the hospital care system
  • Guiding teams through different regulatory agencies and their subsequent standards to ensure that we meet with the highest of all standards.
  • Delegating the oversight of all clinical regulatory agency work across the organization
  • Proactively ensures best practice implementation of surveillance activities, and identifying gaps in the organization to ensure full compliance.
  • Partnering with system leaders to ensure development and maintenance of hospital-wide assessment and improvements.
  • Designing effective regulatory measurement plans by partnering with leaders and data teams.
  • Having a strong knowledge of quality and improvement principles.
Educational requirement:
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, a degree in Nursing or other Clinical degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
  • Preferred Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality from HQCB.
  • 3 to 5 years experience required in a clinical setting.
  • Experience in Quality, Performance Improvement, and working with regulatory requirements.
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
