We are actively seeking a Staffing Coordinator for a hospital in St. Paul. If you are looking to become an integral part of staffing and coordinating a hospital team, this is the opportunity for you. This key position provides support to the Administrative Nursing Supervisor regarding census and staff needed for the next immediate shift.
Duties include:
  • Reviewing staffing levels daily, calling staff, and ensuring skill level is adequate for all patient care needs.
  • Providing information regarding staffing requirements to management, and reporting issues to department head.
  • Updating employees My Time records in Kronos.
  • Ensuring accurate records daily to include licensure and DHS, orientation, and evaluation forms.
  • Seeking opportunities to improve existing procedures and practices, as well as participating in implementing those changes.
  • Maintaining knowledge of all relevant laws, regulations, policies and standards.
Essential skills include the ability to use a computer and navigate basic work tasks in Windows, Outlook, etc. Critical thinking is important as well to recognize and address underlying assumptions of others. There must be strong interpersonal communication skills, organizational initiatives, as well as strong scheduling and written communication skills.

Educational requirements include an Associate’s Degree in a business or healthcare-related area, OR a high school diploma/GED. Familiarity with ANSOS and 1 to 3 years of related hospital office or healthcare experience is also preferred.
